Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Pulled Pork
Ingredients

7-8 pound pork roast
1 apple
Thyme to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup water
Crock pot
Hamburger buns

Directions
Place water in crock pot. Place the roast in the pot and coat it in the seasonings. Leave in the pot on low for about 8 hours. Use a fork to pull the pork into shreds

Serve on hamburger buns and with corn on the cob on the side.

"God Bless America Fruit Salad"

3 pints strawberries
3 pints blueberries
6 bananas

Chop all fruit and add to a large bowl. Serve with whipped topping.

For the non-meat eaters...
Serve rice and beans (recipe follows)
Ingredients
1 box brown rice
1 onion, diced
1 tomato, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can black beans
Seasonings to taste
Olive oil

Directions
1. Cook the rice according to the directions on the box. Set aside.

2. Cook the onion with olive oil in a skillet until the onions are translucent.

3. Add the tomatoes, garlic, and beans. Season.

Serve over the rice.
